Admins with user management permissions can now add an optional Forward Email Address when creating or editing a user in Settings. Once set, every notification EdgeTier sends for that user goes to that address. The login email is unchanged and still used for sign-in and password resets.
To find this, navigate to the Users page, and select an existing user, or add a new user.
What this looks like in practice
- A team where agents log in with a shared or proxy company address can now receive CSV exports and anomaly alerts at their personal inboxes — without changing their login credentials or account setup.
- An admin onboarding a team of external users can assign notification emails in bulk during user setup, ensuring the right people get alerts from day one.
- If a user's notification preferences change — say, a team member moves to a different inbox — the admin simply edits their profile and updates the address. No re-invitation or account reset required.
A few things worth knowing
- Only users with user management permissions can set or change a Forward Email Address.
- The Forward Email Address affects notifications only. Login, password reset, and invite emails continue to use the original account email.
- If no Forward Email Address is set, nothing changes — notifications continue to arrive at the login email as before.
- The same forward address can be assigned to multiple users.
