You can set up WatchTower to send email alerts to Slack channels using the “Send emails to this channel” option on Slack, and then using that email address as a “user” in WatchTower.

Get the email address for your channel

In Slack, open the channel that you’d like to receive alerts at, and click the channel name in the conversation header. Click Integrations → Select “Send Emails to this channel” → Click “Get Email Address”

The email address will be long, and look like this example: "[email protected]

Add a WatchTower user with this email address

Create a new user in WatchTower with this channel email address. You can create a limited access role for additional security, but this user should not have a password / should not be linked to your SSO solution, so login will not be possible on the interface.

Subcribe your new “user” to any alerts

You can now add this user to any of your Anomaly models on the “Edit Users” screen, or to any Tag Alerts on the “User Subscriptions” tab of any tag.

Any newly generated alerts will appear as Slack notifications in your channel.

You can create as many users with this method as required, using a different email address / name for each channel that you want to integrate with.
