On the Explore screen, the Custom Chart allows you to group your interactions visually with by selecting a category from the “Split by” dropdown. Here you can select languages, brands, markets, tags, agents, etc. as shown in the image below to see how your interactions are divided amongst that category.
When EdgeTier sorts your interactions using a split-by category, by default, we display the top ten tags by volume, and group the rest into a category labelled ‘Others’.

For larger tag groups, ‘Others’ may not always be useful for you, so we’ve added the ability to toggle ‘Others’ out of your chart.
Removing the large grey “others” section from each bar will help you visually compare the highest-volume tags for that period, without manually filtering for them at the top of the page.
To do this, simply hover over “Others” and click “Hide.” To reverse this, click “Show” and the others group will return.
Note: This will allow you to see not just the count of interactions per category, but also how many of your interactions fall within the top ten.
Hiding “Others” will also apply a filter to your interactions table below, so your list of conversations is narrowed to the top 10 categories by volume.
<aside> ❗
You may notice that opting to toggle out ‘Others’ changes certain chart total metrics, like ‘Resolved Interactions (%)’. We have an in-depth explanation of the calculations associated with this here.
